Riley's Fluffy Cat, 2025, age 19

As a surprise for my best friend's birthday, I painted her incredibly fluffy (and still unnamed) cat. I leaned toward a more stylized approach this time, stepping away from the realism I'm most familiar with.

Main Materials: Gouache, Prismacolor colored pencils, white gel pen

Bobo and Pepper, 2024, age 18

My friend and I decided to get each other gifts since Christmas was right around the corner. I didn't really know what to get him so I painted his cats. Always a crowd pleaser.

Main Materials: Gouache, Prismacolor colored pencils, white gel pen

Drawing of a Collage, 2024, age 18

I made this for the Intro to Drawing class I took my first semester of college. Our assignment was to make a collage, and then take a picture of it, and then draw that picture. Although it's confusing to look at, I think I captured some of the shadows fairly well.

Main Materials: Graphite pencils

Jurgen Klopp, 2024, age 18

(Yes, his teeth really do look like that.) As a gift for my mom's coworker, I drew Liverpool FC's former manager. I'm proud of how his right hand turned out and appalled by how his left one looks.

Main Materials: Gouache, Prismacolor colored pencils

Gandalf, 2024, age 18

3rd of LOTR set: I was exhausted after finishing the drawing of Frodo, but I felt like I needed to round out the LOTR set by including a Gandalf drawing. To me, this feels rushed and uncared for, but I think I captured his wrinkles nicely.

Main Materials: Charcoal pencils, graphite pencils

Frodo, 2024, age 18

2nd of LOTR set: Having just finished drawing Gollum, I decided to begin Frodo the following day. This was way more ambitious since it involved cloth and metal textures as well as curly hair, which I had never excelled at. Despite the challenges, this might be my favorite thing I have ever created.

Main Materials: Charcoal pencils, graphite pencils

Gollum, 2024, age 18

1st of LOTR set: I made this the summer before going to college and I wanted to go back to my roots of graphite drawing. This took about 2 days to finish but it was very meditative.

Main Materials: Charcoal pencils, graphite pencils

Unfinished Father, 2023, age 17

Although I never finished this piece, I think I portrayed the wrinkles of the sweatshirt really well. I love stippling, even though it takes so much time....

Main Materials: Micron pens

The Last Stop, 2023, age 17

Before this, I had never done an observational drawing. The process was frustrating and time-consuming but I'm proud of the outcome. I especially like the warping of the trolley behind the glass bottle.

Main Materials: Graphite pencils

Riley's Passport Photo, 2023, age 17

I had an assignment due the next day for my high school art class and decided to spend the night drawing my friend's ID photo she had just taken.

Main Materials: Prismacolor colored pencils

The Mandalorian, 2022, age 16

A family friend had asked me to draw the Mandalorian but gave me complete creative freedom on how to do it. I took it as an opportunity to try stippling for the first time and fell in love with the process and outcome.

Main Materials: Micron pens

Astronaut, 2022, age 16

I was on vacation and wanted to try my new Gouache paint I had been gifted. I was very happy with how this turned out since it had been years since I had last painted. I now use gouache as a base on most of my artwork

Main Materials: Gouache

Colored Pencil Eye, 2020, age 14

This was my first time using Prismacolor colored pencils. Previously, I had been drawing all realism in graphite, so it was fun to experiment and learn how to blend colors.

Main Materials: Prismacolor colored pencils

Darth Vader, 2015, age 9

This was the first piece of art I made outside of elementary school art class. I had just watched the original Star Wars trilogy for the first time and loved it so much I stayed up late to draw Darth Vader on printer paper with a ballpoint pen. My dad said it was really good, which made me want to make more art... and here we are.
